Air terjun Tumpak Sewu dikenal dengan nama Coban Sewu. Pemandangannya sangat indah dan menyejukkan mata, juga menenangkan pikiran. Air terjun Tumpak sewu berada dalam sebuah lembah yang curam memanjang di ketinggian 500 meter dari permukaan laut, dengan ketinggian air terjun sekitar 120 meter. Sangat indah karena ketika air terjun terkena sinar matahari akan membentuk sebuah pelangi yang sangat mempesona.
Berlokasi di perbatasan Kabupaten Malang dengan Kabupaten Lumajang, yaitu di desa Sidomulyo, Kecamatan Pronojiwo, Kabupaten Lumajang, dan desa Sidorenggo, Kecamatan Ampelgading, Kabupaten Lumajang, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Lokasi ini bisa ditempun melalui jalur darat menggunakan kendaraan pribadi ataupun angukan umum sekitar 2 jam perjalanan, dengan pemandangan pegunungan lereng gunung Semeru. Kalau dari arah Barat, yaitu dari Malang, Bululawang, Turen, Dampit, Tirtoyudo, Ampelgading melewati perbatasan Kabupaten Malang – Lumajang masuk desa Sidomulyo. Kalau dari arah Timur, yaitu dari Lumajang, Tempeh, Pasirian, Candipuro, Pronojiwo, desa Sidomulyo.
Disekitar daerah ini belum ada penginapan ataupun hotel. Hotel tersedia di Kota Malang dan Kota Lumajang. Untuk rumah makan banyak dijumpai disepanjang jalan baik dari arah Malang maupun dari arah Lumajang. Jangan lewatkan pemandangan yang menakjubkan ini, perlu diingat, daerah Air Terjun Tmpak sewu dengan curah hujan tinggi, disarankan untuk berkunjung ke lokasi wisata ini pada pagi hari, karena kalau siang menjelang sore sering turun hujan. Sebaiknya sedia mantel atau jas hujan sebelum kehujanan, atau Anda sudah menyiapkan pakaian pengganti dari rumah.
